Schoolhouse Email Design 2025
From 2022 to 2025, I led and developed all email design for Schoolhouse. Through a consistent and strategic design approach, the brand experienced year over year growth in engagement and subscriber rates, contributing to nearly 44 million dollars in revenue in 2025. I focused on clean, intentional design aligned with brand guidelines, allowing the quality of the product and imagery to stand out while maintaining a cohesive and effective customer experience.
The first four emails shown are part of a bespoke welcome series designed for our American Express targeted customers. I led the design strategy for this series to introduce them to the brand, drive early engagement, and encourage repeat purchase behavior through a thoughtful, sequenced onboarding experience.
This email is an example of Schoolhouse Six, one of Schoolhouse’s highest-performing email templates and a weekly roundup of content, product features, and lifestyle highlights. I led the end-to-end design development for this series, defining the visual expression with a strong editorial look and feel that elevated the brand’s storytelling.
The strategic goal of the series was to deepen the customer’s connection to the culture of the brand—moving beyond transactional messaging to inspiration and discovery. As a result of this design-led approach, the Schoolhouse Six achieved a consistent 30% open rate week over week, significantly improving the performance of the series almost immediately after launch.
