Queer Agenda 2025

Concept and Inspiration

This year, I drew inspiration from vintage rubber hose-style cartoons to express my concept. I believe a significant root of homophobia and transphobia lies in envy—specifically, the envy of our freedom and autonomy outside of rigid social norms. It seems that some people see us living authentically, outside the constraints they've accepted, and it makes them confront their own limitations. For whatever reason, they feel unable to live that freely within the boxes they’ve been placed in—or chosen to remain in. That’s why I believe our joy and visibility are powerful acts of resistance. They can try to legislate our existence, but they cannot legislate our joy.

Queer Agenda 2024

Join the “Queer Agenda” today. Together we can bring about the new world order. Leaning on occult, and mystic symbols this shirt is aimed at subverting the notion that queer folks are sinful, othered, and dangerous. If they want us to be villains why not live deliciously.

Visual Inspiration

For this project I was inspired by classical religious works of art, leaning on the gothic tradition. I also pulled major inspiration from pagan and occult imagery. I also added in astrological and other imagery to connect queer folk to the divinity of the universe. We are not other, we are just as connected as very other soul. Researching pagan, Wiccan, and occult symbols to incorporate to the design as well.

On a Positive Note

I added the latin for “To Live & To Thrive” in the design to add a sense of genuine feeling and hope to the design. At the end of the day the only Queer Agenda is that we wish the thrive and be happy.

Visual Teaser & Promotional Material

I created motion graphics to tease the release of the shirt, leaning more into the demonic and dark spiritual visuals to continue to subvert the danger of queerness.

Queer Agenda 2020

Inspiration & Objective

For this project I wanted to subvert the prevailing narrative that queer people are attempting to push a larger agenda. Considering the prevailing political climate in 2020 I wanted to focus on social justice and the diversity of queer identities with this project. Inspired by work-ware to continue the theme of subverting queer stereotypes and notion that queer folk don’t belong in masculine spaces. Leaning on a more masculine aesthetic I wanted this shirt to feel like a streetwear version of a construction company uniform. Adding in imagery and symbols to subtlety give an ominous feel, by playing with the perceived danger of the queer identity.
